Sora 2 cost per video (and what to use now)
Sora 2 no longer has a price: OpenAI shut down the Sora 2 models and the Videos API on September 24, 2026, with no direct replacement. Its last API list price was $0.10 per second for sora-2 at 720p (about $1.00 for a 10s clip) and $0.30–$0.70 per second for sora-2-pro. Today a similar clip costs $0.175 per 8s with Veo 3.1 Lite on kie.ai or $1.425 per 10s with Kling 4.0 720p on kie.ai.
